A professional holding a recognized designation, such as CFP, Pl.Fin. or PFP, who helps clients establish and achieve their financial goals. To do so, they analyze the client's current financial situation and formulate appropriate recommendations. The mutual fund sales representative is not expected to fulfill this role.
