Mutual Funds
mortgage fund
Fonds de créances hypothécaires
A fund made up of a diversified portfolio of residential and, in some cases, commercial mortgages. Some of these funds invest only in mortgages insured under the National Housing Act (NHA). Default risk is also reduced, since defaulted mortgages are often bought back by the investment company's parent company, typically the bank that granted the mortgage.
